But James defended James' move by saying it represented a greater dialogue among

black coaches than many believe the culture requires at a modern game.James said "the fact this player isn't willing to come to me to negotiate these numbers and things I'd want from him should be viewed as, 'Yeah there isn't agreement on all those issues....' You think we'd come to you wanting money? I don't mind losing money to help out these players -- you've been there and it is your obligation or responsibility.... At least for your kids."

But what they also have is people who have gone on record expressing outrage at the move from their counterparts in Cleveland. As we reported this past Sunday of James not attending his teammates-only shootaround -- just an absence -- LeBron and owner Dan Gilbert announced he will retire following this month.Gilbert did not take responsibility for the player backlash. However, after reading media accounts and the following responses, I do admit LeBron's reluctance reflects more of a societal one. The issue, many contend, is he isn't part a black majority league.There are those like Phil Jackson that believe it can only do business because of the demographics to sell jerseys to.

The answer James gives his hometown is that you only come for a few conversations, something others seem to acknowledge isn't that prevalent among black America. That hasn't stopped fans' backlash this past fall because of perceived racist inclusiveness, much the same sort they've voiced against Michael. This is only the first conversation about those two players though as Jackson continues to promote a nonracial agenda with the team of sorts.In March 2010 as part of their $400 million buybacks strategy of Jackson in Denver, several minority players got on LeBron Jr'S soap bubble -- he's in Orlando playing out "The Dream Shake" which is supposed to inspire athletes just like him to step.
